2014 Spring Banquet

Please join us on Thursday, May 15, 2014 for our 91st annual Spring Banquet. This is a time of food, fun, and fellowship when we open the doors to our friends and neighbors to celebrate God’s blessings on the Mission.  We’re having a Western theme, so put on your cowboy hat and grab your lasso for a rootin’ tootin’ good time!

We will host the banquet at 6:30 PM, at the Mt. Baker Rotary Club Building on the Lynden Fairgrounds, and a catered barbeque dinner will be served. We hope you will saddle up and ride on over to hear personal testimonies about how the Mission is impacting the lives of homeless and hurting people in our community.

This year, our guest speaker will be John D. Barry.  John D. Barry is the publisher for Logos Bible Software and the chief editor of Bible Study Magazine, Faithlife Study Bible, and Lexham Bible Dictionary. He is the author of The Resurrected Servant in Isaiah and the coauthor of the books Connect the Testaments: A Daily Devotional and Mary: Devoted to God’s Plan. John will be talking about “What Jesus Really Said about Poverty: How Best to Help the Impoverished.”

This will be an awesome celebration of God’s grace and provision, celebrating 91 years of Lighthouse Mission Ministries serving the neediest people in our community. Don’t forget your cowboy hat, boots, and lasso for this Western themed event!
