Tiffany’s Story

One mother’s journey with homelessness and why she’s so thankful today.

Before I was able to get a room at Agape Home, I was homeless for five months. I lived with different families and even slept nights in my car with my ten-year-old daughter, McKenna. I feel very fortunate for my experience because I’m sure others have had it worse than me. It wasn’t the end of the world; we survived by the grace of God.  Since we’ve moved in, we have had the security of a safe place to stay. With the help of my growth assistant, I have been able to achieve attainable goals every week. Slowly but surely I will regain the skills, confidence, and ability to live life through the emotional and physical support from the Mission. They provide food, shelter, guidance, and encouragement.

Agape Home also has life enrichment classes we can to sign up for.  I’m very thankful for everything I have had the opportunity to do thus far. Yes, life happens… ups and downs are expected, but I now have people to turn to when such things happen. I am truly blessed to be here and thankful for everyone here for all of the help and support they have provided. Thank you, Agape Home, the staff, and everyone who has donated. You are all bright shining stars in my book!
