We’re excited to announce our upcoming 5-part video series, Hope for Bellingham: Response to Homelessness!
The first episode of our Hope for Bellingham: Response to Homelessness video series, “The Reality of Homelessness: Falling into homelessness,” will be released on July 2nd.
“People don’t become homeless because they’ve run out of resources; people become homeless because they’ve run out of relationships. And at Lighthouse Mission Ministries, our entire approach to real life recovery begins with that assertion." - Hans Erchinger-Davis, Executive Director of Lighthouse Mission
There are many reasons why a person may become homeless, and lacking strong relationships is often central to the problem. Poverty isn’t only about a lack of financial resources. At the Lighthouse Mission we aim to support those experiencing homelessness by addressing all aspects of poverty – poverty of circumstances, poverty of spirit, and poverty of community.
The 5 Episodes:
- The Reality of Homelessness: Falling into homelessness
- Building Trust: First steps towards healing
- The Road to Recovery: Addressing trauma, addiction, and mental health
- Restoration: Getting your life back
- Community: All in to heal homelessness
