Easter Meals and Care

Letters from the Director
Lighthouse Mission Ministries

To us, Easter means something a little different.

It’s not only the resurrection of Jesus Christ; it’s something more tangible. Through Jesus, we are seeing lives changed and people restored here at the Mission.

I wish you could see close up the evidence of the changes—the difference the resurrected Jesus is making in people’s lives every day.

For example, Eldon, who was struggling to find work and pay for food, is now gainfully employed. There’s also James, who just earned his coin for 90 days clean and sober.

And recently, we’ve made a big change to one of our programs: our Drop-In Center is now open 24/7. Because of this, more people are coming and looking for a second chance! So we need you more than ever to help us feed the increased number of people who are now coming to our doors.

Because of the resurrection, we look forward to eternity. But Easter also reminds us that there is Kingdom work to be done in the here and now. While you and I prepare to spend the holiday with friends, family, and good food, some will have an empty stomach and very little hope this Easter.

When you give toward meals, you are truly giving the hope of change and a new life to men, women, and children in need. For them, Jesus’ mercy is most tangibly seen through the gift of a hot, healthy meal and a friendly face. Please give today!
