With your help, this summer the Mission charges on, facilitating the healing of local men, women, and kids who are homeless and suffering. With our newest program, Street Connect, volunteers are initiating trust relationships through toiletry kits, socks, a listening ear, bottles of water, and prayer.
The Street Connect team encounters people who are sick, addicted, lonely, just hanging on by a thread. It’s a present-day version of the Good Samaritan meeting a near-dead man on the side of the road, and going above and beyond cultural norms to care for him. And you’re a part of this!
Because of your support, precious people hear that they are loved and that there’s a safe, grace-filled place available for them. Everyone’s welcome at the Drop-In Center where people can get the support they need to move forward.
We’re chasing down the roughest of the rough because God is pursuing them with his all-consuming love. You, me, and Mission volunteers and staff are all part of this: We’re a Rescue Mission! And the relationships being built here are lifelong.
