A Newly Homeless Man In Need
Street Connect volunteers spotted a gentleman walking down Northwest Avenue who looked lost. They quickly pulled over to offer him some supplies and asked if there was anything else they could do for him. They discovered he had just become homeless that day and had no clue what he was going to do. After praying with him, he decided to go his own way for the night.
The team continued on, looking for others to help. But at the end of the night, they saw him again. The driver had a gut feeling that he should pull over and try to talk with him again (later realizing it was a nudge from God). The team shared about the Mission’s Drop-In Center and offered him a ride. He said,

He was extremely thankful to have somewhere warm to sleep and stayed at the Drop-In Center for the next couple weeks. He quickly found a job and now has his own place! God bless our volunteers and donors who made this connection possible! On the worst night of this man’s life, you made sure people were looking out for him and ready to offer safety, warmth, and care.
