For over 100 years, Lighthouse Mission Ministries has celebrated Christmas with the cold, hungry and vulnerable in Bellingham. Each day, we strive to bring Jesus Christ as the beacon of light for those navigating homelessness. We provide warm meals, safe shelter and crucial resources like addiction recovery, budgeting, parenting and job training. Your timeline and generous donations will be used to provide immediate support for the Mission’s programs and services. If so inclined, there are several other methods to support the Lighthouse Mission financially:
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs): Consider creating a Donor Advised Fund. Contribute to a DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction while supporting Lighthouse Mission Ministries over time. This strategy offers flexibility and potential tax benefits. (See your tax advisor for more information).
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): If you’re 70 1/2 years or older, consider a QCD from your IRA to directly support the Mission’s efforts. This can satisfy your required minimum distribution and reduce your taxable income as well as support the Mission’s vital work into 2025.
