Lighthouse Mission is a Christian organization. Our faith is the foundation everything else is built on. You do not need to share our faith to be part of this work. Donors, volunteers, and partners from all backgrounds are welcome here.

A century of faithful presence
Built over 100 years by generations of people who believed every person experiencing homelessness deserves dignity, care, and a path forward. Here is the story of how we got here.

A building designed around the people inside it
In 2024, Lighthouse Mission opened a $29 million facility at 1312 F Street, purpose-built around therapeutic design. Every floor, every room, every detail was designed to support the journey from crisis to stability. The building has been nationally recognized across the country.
The building is not the mission. The people inside it are.

Want to see Lighthouse Mission for yourself?
The best way to understand what we do is to come and see it. Fill out the form and someone will be in touch to confirm your visit. Tours duration is between 45 and 60 minutes and are available Tuesdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Groups, individuals, families, and faith communities of all sizes and ages are welcome. Our building is fully accessible with ramps and elevators.

Lighthouse Mission has been featured in local and national media. Here is a selection of recent coverage.
Lighthouse Mission Ministries is providing food and shelter in its new Bellingham facility for hundreds who are homeless during the current winter storm that brought snow and sub-freezing temperatures. The facility at 1312 F St. in Old Town opened in October and is near capacity now. It currently offers 234 beds under regular conditions, according to Hans Erchinger-Davis, president and CEO of Lighthouse Mission Ministries. It will reach the permitted total of 300 beds when they are able to staff the behavioral health dorms.

Earlier this year, Frank, a Base Camp guest, had a medical emergency where he lost consciousness. Staff responded immediately and performed CPR until medical professionals arrived. Tragically, Frank passed away. When the EMT staff asked for his emergency contacts, the reply that came was grim, “There are no emergency contacts.”
