Homelessness is complex. Our response has to be, too.

Liminal Coffee is a working coffee shop where recovery graduates train as professional baristas through a six-month apprenticeship, building the skills and confidence needed for lasting employment.

Independent living and a new start

The goal was never just a bed. When someone completes our programs, they leave with stable housing, employment, and the support network they need to stay on their feet. The relationship does not end at graduation.

Built for healing

In 2024, Lighthouse Mission opened a $29 million facility at 1312 F Street in Bellingham, purpose-built around the principles of therapeutic design.

Every floor, every room, and every detail was designed to support the journey from crisis to stability.

The building has been nationally recognized, and our leadership has been invited to speak at conferences across the country about this approach to shelter design.

But the building is not the mission. The people inside it are.

Beyond our walls

Our work extends beyond the facility. Through Outreach we connect with people not yet ready to come inside, and through the Good Neighbour Project we maintain strong relationships with our neighbours and local businesses.
