Every month staff and volunteers throw a party for the women and children who celebrate their birthday in that month. They just finished celebrating July’s birthdays last week and everyone had a great time celebrating in the sun!
The women and children enjoyed tasty cakes donated by local businesses and individuals. The kids had a great time drawing with sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, and chasing each other around the playground with water toys. Every month staff and volunteers try to do something different for the guests to enjoy.
These parties give us the opportunity to show our guests that they are valued, that you can have a great time sober, and gives them the opportunity to spend quality time with their children.
