Your support reunited Athena with her kids, encouraged her in recovery and helped her get a job, car, and housing! She is so grateful to you and God.
In her words: “Thank you for all your support and your donations.”
After completing treatment, Athena had lost all faith and didn’t know if she could go on. She needed a safe place to regain custody of her kids. Moving into Agape Home “was a tremendous relief. I needed all the support I could get,” Athena shared. And “as of today, I have 27 months clean and sober.”
Athena took the year she lived at Agape Home and ran with it! She put God first and “everything fell into place.”
“If it weren’t for you, I don’t know where I would be.”
Shortly after moving in, she found a job. Now she has a car and she and her four children moved out into their own apartment! Athena said, “If I could’ve stayed there a little longer I would have because I loved it there.”
Thank you from Athena – she and her kids now have their own home to ride out this crisis.
It means so much to Athena that Agape was there for her family. “I want to give a big thank you to the donors of the Lighthouse Mission. Thank you for supporting us.”
Athena built a relationship with God, explaining, “I always believed there was a higher power, but I believe in God now full force. Life would not be the same without God in it.”
Athena shared, “I love the support that Lighthouse Mission gives everybody in the community plus what they did for me. The Mission changed my life in a tremendous way. I’m very thankful for that place.”
“And my journey is not over. I have so much more that I want to accomplish,” Athena confidently stated.
