Letter to A Donor

Making an impact in the world. Making a difference. We all want to change the world for the better. Lighthouse Mission cares deeply about the abused, the homeless, the needy. Shawn is a shining example of the types of change we see day in and day out within our drop-in center, and our other outreach ministries. Shawn has a message to you, the donor, and the potential donor, about the impact you can have in real people’s lives through the simple act of making a recurring monthly donation today.

Dear Lighthouse Mission donor…

Look Up and Notice the Difference We Are Making

I said a silent questioning prayer, “Why do we even do this, Lord?” I asked. “What difference are we making?”

And, like God will do from time to time… He answered immediately: “Look closer, Lauri… Pay attention.” (He seems to have to tell me that a lot.)  So I did.

My Dearest Treasure

My Dearest Treasure. A story of impact about your generous gifts to the Lighthouse Mission Ministries. This individual knows the grace of God better as a result of your compassion.

My Dearest Treasure,

First, let me tell you how much I love you; as great as the
bunches of grapes on the fine; as great as the number of drops of water in the
ocean; Yes, I love you as great as the number of stars in the heavens
themselves.

Never forget that I am here and yours forever. You are my child. Never will I leave or forsake you. Always will I love, nurture, and protect you. As I’m yours, you are mine always. There is nothing you have done that I have not forgiven.

God Can Change Anybody

The Lighthouse Mission is honored to get a front row seat to watch as God transforms people’s lives throughout the state and the city of Bellingham. Robert’s story is just another beautiful example of how your donations are helping people restore their lives.

Robert is no stranger to hard stories. He grew up in an environment filled with drugs, alcohol, and crime. As an adult, he was in and out of prison and moved all over the country trying to escape the consequences of his decisions. After 30 years, he got tired of running. He met his wife and got married. Then his brother died.
