The Frank Haskell Lions Eye Clinic

Lighthouse Mission Ministries and Bellingham Central Lions Club have partnered to establish the Frank Haskell Lions Eye Clinic that provides free eye examinations and eye glasses to low-income individuals.

Bellingham Central Lions Club members Ron Dickerson and Ken Henderson helped unload and set up equipment with fellow member David Goss.

Nearly $40,000 worth of equipment and services have been donated for this project, and the current volunteer doctor list includes eleven doctors, and six opticians.

The clinic is located in the Mission’s Drop-In Center at 1013 West Holly Street and is open every Thursday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. So far this year over 200 clients have been served.

“This will be a free clinic in Jesus’ name” said Ron Buchinski, Executive Director, “for low income men, women, and children.”
