Mike’s Story: Made Possible Through Your Generosity

Mike Missick was a special guest at the Lighthouse Mission as he worked to break free of the cycle of homelessness. And we were blessed to have a front row seat to watch God intervene on behalf of Mike as He transformed his life to something entirely new.

God Changed Mike’s Life

It is with heavy hearts that we share Mike passed away earlier this year. As a member of our Ascent Program, Mike had been working toward healing and a transformed life. A couple of months before he passed away, he reflected on his time with the Mission…

Mike’s greatest pleasure:
“Getting to see other men begin new lives in the Lord.”

Mike’s favorite discipline:
“To wait on the Lord.”

Mike’s favorite truth:
“Knowing I can accomplish nothing outside of Christ and His love.”

Mike’s greatest hope:
“To become worthy enough to share God’s Word completely enough to help grow His Kingdom.”

The Mission was honored to hold a memorial service for Mike.

From the bottom of Mike’s heart…

“Thank you to the Lighthouse Mission for a warm safe place to grow and learn while enjoying good food, love, mentoring, and support that I so desperately needed. I shudder to think where I would be without the lifesaving help this Mission provides, so thank you with all my heart.”

A Testimony About God’s Goodness and Love

Thank you for making Mike’s testimony and so many others possible through the Lighthouse Mission. Today, thanks in part to you, Mike is enjoying his reward: eternity with Jesus! Thank you for partnering with us day in and day out. Thank you for making a real difference in Mike’s life, and the lives of so many other valuable members of our society.

Act now to create a recurring online donation, it is the best way to help the downtrodden of Bellingham on a daily basis. Did you know that Lighthouse Mission Ministries has been a critical lifeline in Washington since 1923? That’s over 100 years of service to the Bellingham community as a respected 501c3 non-profit. Our various outreach efforts help homeless find stability and safety in a time of uncertainty in their lives. We are honored to be able to serve God in this way every day.
