Neil exclaims “Thank you, Jesus!” Neil moved from Trinidad to Washington, D.C. with his mom when he was young. In the 70s, drugs flooded the D.C. area and he was caught up in it. Throughout his life, Neil searched for the truth. “I always knew there was a God and I searched in a lot of different places,” he said. “I practiced Islam for about 27 years.”

Street Connect volunteers spotted a gentleman walking down Northwest Avenue who looked lost. They quickly pulled over to offer him some supplies and asked if there was anything else they could do for him. They discovered he had just become homeless that day and had no clue what he was going to do. After praying with him, he decided to go his own way for the night.
